The University of Kabianga initially called Kabianga Agricultural Training Centre dates back to 1925.

Thereafter, in 1959, it was transformed into Kabianga Agricultural Training Centre.

2. Kabianga University upgraded to a college in 2007

Kabianga University was established as a Constituent College of Moi University on May 10, 2007, by President Mwai Kibaki.
