Kathiani Girls is situated at Kathiani Constituency, Machakos County in the Eastern Region of Kenya.

Opened with only 80 learners, Kathiani registered its first KCSE exams in 2002.

Pioneers including the late Rtd General J. K. Mulinge who envisioned more opportunities for the girl child in the mid-90s eventually established Kathiani Girls in 1999.

In 2011, the learning center was upgraded to a national school with more funding to improve its facilities.
