CS Machogu further intimated that Form one placement will proceed through the Christmas period to pave way for early preparations.

While addressing the Press, Machogu defended the credibility of the recently concluded KCPE exams despite widespread cheating reports in various parts of the country.

He cited 6 incidences of cheating in which culprits are set to face the law.

“Even in those six cases, it is not that there was confusion, maybe a pupil being found with a paper that does not resonate with the exams.”

On the other hand, CS Machogu admitted that the government has recorded 46 cases of exam cheating in the ongoing KCSE exams.

His attempt to rubbish a general perception of widespread cheating in national exams has since sparked debates among stakeholders.

“So let us say that this time round, we are almost a hundred percent perfect, the results of the exam that will come out, it is the genuine marks that the child was able to get.”.

The CS attributed the few cases of exam irregularities to the stern measures employed by the ministry of Education.

While the exact KPSEA, KCPE release date is not confirmed, at least 1.2 million candidates should expect their results any time next week.
