KPlC in a notice issued on Sunday, announced planned outages for scheduled maintenance. Kenya Power interruptions are expected to run for the better part of the week.

At least 5 counties will suffer daylong outages during the planned grid upgrade on Monday, November 20th, 2023.
Kenya Power interruptions today
In the list of counties set for the blackout between 9am and 5pm are Nairobi, Kwale, Kilifi, Kisumu, and Uasin Gishu.

Outage zones within the capital Nairobi include Tena Estate, Stella street, Rockfield, Umoja One, and Outer ring road environs.
Kisumu County:Bandani, Africa Sea food, Cocacola, Panda Mabati, and environs.
Kilifi County: Marina Mtwapa, Sultan palace, Ahadi beach villas, Kanamai Timboni, Kwa Jeki, and environs.
Kwale County: Msambweni hospital, Niceview hospital, Sawasawa beach house,, Viungujini, Msambweni KMTC, Msambweni Water, and environs.
Uasin Gishu County: Kapkorio, Jamii Millers, Moiben Junction, and environs.
The anticipated 8-hour Kenya Power interruptions are expected to bring usual businesses to a standstill.
