The county boss said he will use the IEBC register from the recent elections to instil accountability in delivering critical services.

While speaking at Ichuni Ward in Nyaribari Masaba constituency, Governor Arati reassured that said the move is timely.
In his words, Arati said poached voters should seek education funding from the constituencies where they were paid to vote.

As we speak, lawmakers from 8 constituencies in Kisii County are favouring residents on the IEBC register.
โGo to the ward where you voted to seek assistance. We will use the IEBC voter registers and if you did not vote, go look for other businesses to doโฆ These are the fruits of voting during election time. I have given each ward three million shillings and urged all elected leaders to encourage revenue collection to enable the county to increase more funding.โ

His excellence also urged Ward Reps to prioritize orphans, single parents, and other vulnerable segments.
Mr Arati said his government has released Ksh. 135 million to all the 45 wards in the county. As such, each ward is set to receive Ksh. 3 million.
He went on to confirm that the amount will be increased to Ksh. 5 million in the upcoming fiscal year.
