At least 7 people were confirmed dead on Friday – June 3, 2022, following a tragic accident along the meandering Narok-Bomet Road. Among them was a beautiful Kisii lady who has since been mourned by dignitaries such as Hon Lawrence Nyakundi and renowned cop Sammy Ondimu Ngare. Linda who was travelling from Kisii to Nairobi onboard a 14-seater Ena Coach Matatu died painfully. According to Frederick Shiundu, a Mercedes Actros trailer lost control before a head-on collision with the victim-Toyota Hiace matatu at the Silanka area. Sources say the loss of control followed a loud-bang tire burst.

Shiundu who is the serving police boss at Narok North sub-county said 5 people including the 45 years old driver Joshua Tindi succumbed on the spot.

In his word, 2 more passengers passed on at the nearby Narok County Referral Hospital peaking the death toll at 7.
5 of those who escaped the tragic accident sustained severe injuries and are still hospitalized.
