How old is Edwin Sifuna? Hon Sifuna born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Mumias, Kakamega County, on May 22nd, 1982 spent much of his childhood in western Kenya.

He grew up in a middle income but politically prominent family of Mzee Sifuna, a civil servant in the now defunct Municipal Council.

On the other hand, his mother is now-retired teacher from Moi Primary School in Bungoma.

Hon Sifuna started schooling at Kakamega Township Primary School, later joining Musingu High School for secondary education.

Good grades in KCSE exams qualified him to join the University of Nairobi in 2001 for a Bachelors of Law degree.

He eventually graduated from UoN 2006 and from the Kenya School of Law in 2007. After his pupilage at Kairu & McCourt Advocates in Nairobi, Sifuna was admitted to the bar in 2008.

Sifuna joined elective politics in 2017, with an intention to contest for Kanduyi Constituency parliamentary seat. Instead, he was nominated to race against Johnson Sakaja for the senatorial seat.

In 2018, he was appointed ODM Secretary General, replacing Ababu Namwamba who has defected in 2016. Politics aside, Sifuna is still an active member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
