His rising to own and run The Guardian Coach Ltd Company makes an interesting story. Who was Moturi?

1. Ong’era Moturi family owns Guardian Coach and Nyamira Express

Moturi succeeded his entrepreneur father, Nahashon Ong’era Omote, with the business class Guardian Coach Ltd and economy class Nyamira Express.

In addition, he rolled out Mwamoturi Hardware. Later on, his son Nyabuti initiated Mwamoturi General Stores in Kebirigo.

The hard-working Ong’era Moturi would eventually extend nationwide with deep interests in transport and hotel businesses.

In essence, Mwamoturi Family is owner of Guardian Angel buses, Nyamira Express, and the prestigious Guardian Hotel.

2. His son Julius Mokaya Ong’era is a rightful successor

Moturi’s son Julius Mokaya Ong’era is the owner of Nyamira Express and Guardian Coach Buses with tens of shuttles and buses.

He succeeded his father as an executive director in both family-owned travel companies.

Sources claim that Moturi suffered a stroke and died within months at the Nairobi Hospital.
