Initial reports indicate that there were at least 10 builders in the structure when it toppled.

Among those killed is a resident of Eastleigh who was hit to death by a stray block from the building.

The young boy’s father is now seeking justice.

“This happened at around 1 am. The stone ripped through our roof and killed our baby. We have tried contacting the owner, but he is unreachable. We reported the incident to the police.”

Loose materials falling from the structure are said to have destroyed nearby properties including shops.

The fateful collapse came within days of materials from the building damaging cars parked within the vicinity of the structure.
