As a result, these minors risk missing suitable varsity courses after a period of celebrating good grades in the recently released Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

New TSC entry requirements in KUCCPS Application

Education and theology have for a long time been accepting low-grade applicants but that is no longer the case.

TSC advisory indicates that the Ministry of Education will only accept applicants with the following subject minimums regardless of their mean score.

BSC Education Arts

Arts teachers must also have a minimum of a B- (minus) in the two teaching subjects.

BSC Education Science

On top of that, interested science teachers must have a minimum of a B (plain) in the two teaching subjects.

BSC Education Special Needs

Special needs educators must also have a minimum C+ (plus) in the two teaching subjects.

BSC Information Technology

Elsewhere, Diploma in Education students will no longer teach in secondary school.
