President Ruto US trip has sparked mixed reactions ranging from the involved cost to the return on investment. Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura says the White House tour is a big win for the country.
Addressing the nation on Thursday evening, Mwaura affirmed that the country has so far earned a whooping Ksh. 600 billion worth of grants equipment and projects.
President Ruto US Trip Under Fire
The government spokesman further reiterated that Kenya has benefitted Ksh. 3.2 billion for the Kenya Literacy Program for Grade 1-3 children. In addition, 16 helicopters to enhance regional peace and security.
Mwaura proceeded to defend Ruto’s frequent trips; saying that the returns are way above investment.

- Ksh. 5.2 billion for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance programming
- Ksh. 198 million for support towards electoral reforms ahead of the 2027 elections
- Ksh. 561 million for anticorruption initiatives
- Ksh. 477 billion for a six-lane Dual Nairobi – Mombasa carriageway
- Ksh. 22.8 billion investment plan with Coca-Cola
- Ksh. 130 billion for AI model development and research including in the Kiswahili language
