Waihiga Mwaura Citizen TV Exit For BBC News– Announces Quitting RMS #Newsnight Focus on Africa

After 14 years of service at the Royal Media Services, Waihiga Mwaura has finally called it quits for greener pastures. News about Waihiga Mwaura Citizen TV Exit and joining BBC are still rife.

The renowned journalist whose interest ranges from governance to global politics, public policy, international relations and youth employment will no longer be appearing on Royal Media Services.

The award-winning Waihiga Mwaura interviews and news bulletins amassed a legion of followers.

As a result, his journalism is breaking Kenyan boundaries.  His announcement on Twitter caught a legion of followers by surprise.

Veteran Mwaura is married to gospel singer Joyce Omondi. The couple walked down the aisle in 2015.

The much-coveted career of Waihiga started in 2007 as a sales agent. He eventually secured a better job at CFC Bank, Upper Hill Branch, Nairobi City.

Waihiga joined The Royal Media Service as a sports journalist in 2009. Excellent coverage of the Maasai Cricket attracted him exceeding fame in 2012.

In 2017, he landed the news anchoring role on Citizen TV and has since been working with excellence. His last News Night on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, came in too soon.

Waihiga Mwaura joins a list of journalists that ventured into different newsrooms among them Sam Ogina working in the office of Majority Leader of the National Assembly.
