A survey conducted by Trends and Insights for Africa, popularly called TIFA reveals the unexpected.

List of Worst Performing Cabinet Secretaries

Senior Cabinet Secretaries Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi and Trade and Investments CS Moses ranked the worst in recent survey findings published by TIFA.

Only one per cent of those interviewed mentioned Mudavadi and Kuria against their impacts on the national executive.

Turns out the list of terrible performers is longer than you can imagine. Take a look;

• Musalia Mudavadi – Prime CS
• Moses Kuria – Trade and Investments CS
• Njuguna Ndung’u – National Treasury CS
• Aden Duale – Defence CS
• Eliud Owalo – ICT and Digital Economy

 TIFA findings collected between 24th and 30th June 2023 are worrisome considering that those performing poorly are associated with critical sectors of the economy.

The study involved 1,530 Kenyans from various parts of the country.

• Kithure Kindiki – Interior CS [34%]
• Ezekiel Machogu – Education [7%]
• Susan Nakhumicha – Health CS [6%]
• Ababu Namwamba – Sports  [3%]
• Kipchumba Murkomen – Roads and Transport [2%]

The highly trolled Kindiki, somehow, managed to top the list.

On the other hand, is Infotrak list of best-performing Cabinet Secretaries.

• Kithure Kindiki – Interior CS [27%]
• Ezekiel Machogu – Education [12%]
• Ababu Namwamba – Sports  [8%]

Info track had this to say after intensive research running between 21st and 24th February 2023.

“We wanted to find out from Kenyans who will they pick as their best performing CS, and they ranked Interior boss Kindiki rated as the best performing CS at 27 %, Education CS Machogu comes second with 12 %, followed by Sports CS Ababu at 8 %”
