Charlene Ruto who says she is not interested in politics continues to cause ripples on mainstream social media. The first daughter is particularly turning heads with the newly launched Charlene Ruto Foundation.

Speaking to Mungai Eve, Charlene intimated that her frequent tours are all about implementing the youth agenda and helping the needy in society. She is convinced that her president dad and first-lady mom are the right players for a better Kenya. On her side, Charlene wants to become the voice of Kenyan youths in national affairs.

Touring the country in quick succession brought Charlene under intense scrutiny. It turns out she was preparing the ground for her community-based initiatives.

Among them is Charlene Ruto Foundation which seeks to aid the less privileged in society.

The poverty relief program marked its first milestone on December 10th, 2022. It involved distributing early Christmas Gifts to Kibera residents.

Food stuff and clothing are among the supplies that Charlene offered alongside celebrities such as Mungai Eve and Daddy Owen.

Rutoโ€™s third-born daughter went on to confirm that her foundation will go national with a proper launch at the onset of 2023.

Critics are yet to give Charlene Ruto a break since alleging that she used to sell smokies and kachumbari for an extra income.

She insists on teaming up with a couple of her best friends at Daystar University and running the questionable business for 12 months.

โ€œI started the business with my roommate and our next-door neighbour. We ran the business for a year before moving on to another venture.โ€

A section of Kenyans cannot stop wondering how the daughter of a deputy president settled at the small-scale venture. Elsewhere, Charlene has confessed to shopping at Gekomba Market until recently.

โ€œEven though my dad is the president I have been on the ground. I have been to Gikomba so many times for shopping. I am the daughter of the chief hustler and I have seen him hustle. I never went through the British education system. I attended Moi Girls so I know the challenges young people face.โ€

In a separate incident, Charlene was recently spotted queuing to pay for her shopping at Quickmart Supermarket.

Asked about her interests, Charlene told Mungai Eve that she is determined to offer the much-needed leadership without a need for politics.

Charlene Ruto Foundation is speedily taking shape even as more volunteers and partners continue to register their support.
