Education and career history
The renowned Ekarambauti reporter on Egesa FM attended Nyatieko Primary School.
After his KCPE came a moment of financial struggles occasioned by the death of his breadwinner father and brother.
Luckily, Ishmael Monguru joined Nyaore Youth Polytechnic for training in Carpentry and Joinery.
Later on, he enrolled at Manga Orotuba Youth Polytechnic for further studies, eventually as an instructor and manager.
After serving for 6 years, Ishmael Monguru resigned to pursue farming. His passion for media would land him a reporting gig on Egesa FM.
Asked to define the Ekegusii word Ekerambauti, Monguru could not hesitate to say it is a whirling.
