Esther Akoth Kokeyo popularly called Akothee is a wonder woman – self-appointed president of single mothers. The mother of five commands fanatics in their millions and a bunch of haters for her splashy lifestyle. Hereby is a closer look at Esther Akothee education history.

The 40 years old Akothee, born on April 8, 1983, is always trending for all the good and wrong reasons alike. At one moment she is breaking moral boundaries and another, exchanging vows with a new husband.

Is Akothee educated? Yes, Akothee is a highly educated Kenyan singer now a Bachelor’s degree graduate from Mount Kenya University.

Her academic journey started in the early 90s at her hometown in Rongo; with the support of her administrator father and politician cum disciplinarian mother.

On completing her primary education, Akothee proceeded to Nyabisawa Girls High School. The 14 years old Akothee would drop out of school in form two for marriage. Sadly, her wedding did not last.

She later enrolled at Wasio Mixed Secondary School from where she attained a C+ (Plus) in 2004.

“I managed to finally clear my form four with a grade of C plus.  After that my marriage now broke and I resorted to becoming a taxi driver. I decided to go and register at the university but could not afford to pay my school fees.”

Thereafter, Akothee was unable to proceed with her education for lack of school fees.

She later managed to join campus with the help of her ex-husband.

“I want to congratulate Mr Omosh for coming into my life. He controlled Akothee and settled Esther; because of that can graduate in 2023. Having met my ex-husband helped me finalise my degree. I went into the classroom without a mwakenya and everything was smooth. I was happy.”

She says her mother’s persistent push sent her back to the classroom after several traumas of an early marriage gone wrong.

Esther Akothee education history is highly inspiring following a colorful graduation from Mount Kenya University December 8, 2023. She says it took her 14 years to graduate from the institution!
