Bwakire Se Movement County Coordinator Edward Morema Nyagechi aged 63 was on Tuesday hacked to death alongside his 60-year-old wife Grace in a suspected land tussle. The US-based couple who returned to Kenya about three months ago met their sudden death on March 21, 2023. The house girl and farm worker have since been arrested pending forensic investigation.

Evelyne Kemuto, a churchmate back in the United State of America posted a sensational video of the gruesome murder. Initial reports from the scene suggest that Mr Morema and his spouse were severely tortured before bleeding to death.

Kemunto’s clip reveals a large crowd of friends and relatives caught in a tense moment of the heinous act.

Outstanding from the rest in a middle-aged man, perhaps the loudest in mourning the deceased.

“They used to help me when we were still living in Keroka town and also sent me money from time to time… They were good to me, bought me food and also supported me all the way from the USA after telling them of my problems.”

Meters away is a decorated maisonette in which the Morema family resided with their loved ones.
