A 5-year-old in Migori County was day morning hit to death by an ambulance. Sources say she was playing with her friends when the incident occurred.at Oyuma trading centre at the Suna East Sub County. Local authorities have since released a statement about the minor Killed by speeding ambulance.

Speaking at the scene, Migori County Police Commander Mark Wanjala said that the driver lost control leading to the incident. Luckily, there was no patient aboard the killer ambulance.

 The police boss has appealed to the drivers and other road users to be keen on observing the traffic rules.

He further assured the public that investigations are underway to determine what caused the incident.

The driver sustained minor injuries while the deceased was taken to Migori Level IV Hospital Mortuary.

The unfortunate loss of life comes within days of 23 students losing their lives along the busy Nakuru Nairobi Highway.

In the first incident, 17 students among them staff members succumbed to death in a tragic head collision involving the Pwani University school bus and an oncoming lorry.

A few days later, 6 female learners died on the spot in a collision accident.

In a statement, Transport Cabinet Secretary Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen said the government is committed to ending road carnage.

Ensuring physical fitness and eye suitability are parts of the measures presented by the minister. In addition, the CS reiterated safety belts and night travel bans.
