Mixed reactions ensued at St Sebastian Park on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023 even as the crashers were coming to terms with ‘Murang’a Seals beat Shabana FC’ news.
Players Fabian Barthez and Ally Yusuf accorded victory to the home team while George Onyango edged a comeback goal for Shabana in the 67th minute.

So far, Shabana FC is leading on the log with 70 points closely followed by Murang’a Seals with 68 points.
Shabana Coach Sammy Okoth had this to say;
“We are disappointed by the loss but as I said earlier, the battle for the NSL title is in our hands. We need a win in our last game and therefore, we must work hard this week ahead of the game against Kisumu All Stars.”

On the other hand, Murang’a Seal Coach Vincent Nyaberi is confident about yet another victory.
He addressed the media saying;
“Shabana is two points ahead of us but in football, anything can happen. Our focus is to win the game against Gusii in Kisii.”

The FKF National Super League champion will be determined on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
