Confirming the incident, Naivasha sub-county police commander Emmanuel Bowen said the 7 survivors were rushed to Naivasha Sub-county Hospital.

Among those who succumbed on the spot are 6 Mbihi Friends Girls High School students who were travelling from Western Kenya to Nairobi for April Holidays.

Police say the Tahmed Bus which was travelling from Kisumu to Nakuru landed in a ditch in an attempt to avert a head-on collision with an approaching Lorry.
