Detectives are actively retrieving bodies of Pastor Mackenzie’s followers believed to have died as a result of starvation at Good News International Church in Shakahola Forest.

The Shakahola horror is still rocking headlines as the number of bodies under the surface are being unearthed.

The misleading doctrine of Pastor Mackenzie has claimed at least 103 lives with about 34 rescued. Survivors are recuperating at the nearby health care facilities.

Many Kenyans and church leaders have condemned the act terming it murderous.

Speaking while presiding over the 26th Kenyan Cadet Pass Out at Ruiru, President Ruto described the Shakahola incident as an act of terrorism.
“Any religious institution that teaches against seeking medical attention or going to school should be prosecuted… Mr. Mackenzie who acts as a pastor is in fact a terrible criminal.”

Police reports indicate that hundreds of people believed to be following Mackenzie are still missing in Shakahola Forest.

Affected families are now calling for the government to help them trace more culprit currently on the run.
