The gruesome beheading of two minors in Kisii County is still tearing hearts! The Friday morning incident happened at Kiobegi, Nyamache Sub County, on January 6th, 2022. Regional police chief spoke of machete cuts on the neck while confirming the ‘Kisii man beheads children’ horror.

The heinous act happened barely weeks since the gouging of Baby Sagini’s eyes in the nearby Marani area. Escalating inhumanities are concerning.

A middle man Nelson Momanyi is the culprit father who took away the lives of his biological children aged 2.5 years and 10 months.

Initial reports say the lifeless bodies of the two minors were founded dumped in a maize farm.

On their side, neighbours claim that Nelson Momanyi has been battling mental health issues for at least five months.

A local Wilfred Nyamweya told the police that the suspect was admitted at a mental facility a couple of months ago.

“We even conducted a fundraiser for his treatment at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.”

She went on stating that Mr. Momanyi has been unfriendly to his family for some time now.

Nyamache OCPD Kipkulei Kipkemboi has confirmed the arrest of Mr Nyamweya pending investigation into the matter.
