Wafula Chebukati Celebrates Wife Mary Wanyonyi for CRA Chairperson Role – Former IEBC Boss

Former IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati wrote a congratulatory message for his wife Mary Wanyonyi.

He celebrated her on the eve of swearing in as the Chairperson of the Commission for Revenue Allocation (CRA).

Part of the heartfelt Twitter message read as follows;

“Your dedication and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to the Mandate of the CRA and prosperity for all Kenyans. Keep your fidelity to the Constitution and the Law. Wishing you great success in this important role.”

Presiding the Monday morning, July 17, 2023, CRA oath was Chief Justice Martha Koome. 

Mrs Chebukati who was appointed by President Ruto in May, succeeded Jane Kiringai who retired in February.

She will perform among other functions, making recommendations concerning the basis for the equitable sharing of revenue raised by the national government.

As such, she has direct control over allocations slated for the national government, county governments and other state organs.
