Born on July 14th, 1992, on the slopes of Nyambene Hill in Igembe South Constituency, Eric Muriithi’s age is 32 years as of 2024.

He is the third child in a family of six children. His father Benson Muga and his mom Mrs Muga are particularly proud of the milestones that their son is making in the political space.

Education history and career journey

Eric Muriithi sat for his KCPE exams at St. John’s boarding Primary school at MAUA, Igembe before proceeding to Lenana Boys for secondary studies.

Thereafter, he became an educator at Kirindine Secondary School for a couple of years before proceeding to the University of Nairobi for a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering eventually graduating with first-class honors.

After working as an intern for some time, Muga landed his first job at Mangat I.B Patel (MIBP) Limited.

In 2022, he graduated yet again from UoN with a Master’s Degree in Water Resources in Engineering.

He has since attained the status of a registered engineer in the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).

Career background and experience

Eric Muriithi brags 8 years of experience in the Operations and Management of Engineering Projects, Water Hydraulic Modeling, and Water Treatment Plants.

He previously served as an assistant project engineer at Kilifi Mariakani Water and Sewerage Company Limited (KIMAWASCO).

Once approved by parliament, Muga will assume office witha a CS’s monthly salary of Ksh.924,000 excluding six-figure benefits, and loyalties. Even so, Muga’s net worth is valued at Ksh. 31 million
