Wafula Chebukati wife photos are back in the limelight following a recent spousal moment. Speaking to a crowd of mourners on the eve of her mother’s burial dated Saturday, July 16th, 2022, Mary Chebukati described the long-serving IEBC chairman as a charming husband and a devout public servant.

Kenyans could not help noticing a magnet of love between Chebukati and his partner Mary. Her moving sentiments come at a time Chebukati is rarely at home because of his demanding job ahead of the August Polls.

Chebukati and his wife Mary are proud parents of three children. Among them are firstborn daughter Rachel Chebukati, second born son Jonathan Chebukati, and lastborn son Emmanuel.

From Mary’s speech, it is evident that she is a caring mother being that Chebukati is a busy man with a schedule.

Even better, Mary is a prayerful woman behind Chebukati’s successes.

“Our children were deeply affected by the last elections exercise but now they are strong, and so is Chebukati. We always pray for God’s wisdom to guide him as he serves the nation.”

She jokingly said they see Chebukati more on TV than they interact with him at home.

Mary is worried about the political pressure directed at her IEBC boss husband.

“I ask that you pray for us as a family especially now that we are in the election season because I know my husband just wants to follow the law… We see him on TV more than we see him at home because of his job. Even now, I thank him for setting aside his national duties to come and mourn with us.”

The most recent tension is that of senior government officials accusing him of favouritism in the award of the mega printing tender to the Greek-based firm Inform Lykos.

Among those accused of colluding with the IEBC boss are UDA Party leader and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.

Chebukati has since warned Kenyans against profiling IEBC officials along ethnic lines.

“Don’t forget that it was around this time, on July 28 five years ago, when our staff was murdered. And this then becomes a frightening moment when you see the chairman of the commission and staff being profiled,”

He says the commission is answerable to Kenyans and not individuals.

Mary and her husband Wafula walked down the aisle in 1990 when he was only 29 years old. Chebukati who is 60 years old in 2022 is a responsible father and a tough executive.

On the other hand, Mrs Mary is a devoted woman formerly chairperson of the Kenya Ladies Golf Union until 2017 when June Waweru took over.
