The God-fearing Mama Sarah Cheruiyot is a resident of Kamagut Village, Turbo division, Uasin Gishu County.
She is the wife of the deceased Mzee Daniel Cheruiyot who was a triumphant livestock and maize farmer. Mzee Cheruiyot died in 2008 leaving William Ruto and his siblings under her care.
Mrs Cheruiyot, famously known as Mama Sarah is about 80 years old. Even so, she still walks by her feet and wears a broad smile whenever receiving guests.
