The renowned George Maringa is not only a reporter but also a researcher and storyteller.

How old is George Maringa? Karanja George Maringa age is about 30 years as of 2022.

In matters of education, he schooled at Don Bosco Technical Secondary School between 2009 and 2012.

In 2013, Maringa joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.

He has since practised broadcast journalism starting with a Hansard internship at Kirinyaga County Assembly and a media intern at the African Virtual University.

The Standard Group Limited absorbed Maringa in July 2017 as an intern reporter. He became a news reporter in February 2018 and an anchor in November 2020.

In between, he earned a Diploma in thisisFINLAND Foreign Correspondents’ Programme 2018.

Before joining the newsroom, Maringa worked as a reporter in Meru, Isiolo, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Lamu, and Marsabit for at least 3 years.

Apart from English and Swahili, he is conversational in French.
